Friday Five
1. Zaful was nice enough to send me a very generous package this week. There may or may not be a haul coming very soon where I'll be addressing my thoughts on the company and what I think about the clothes.

2. Tried this baby out this week and really love it. After reading reviews I decided to get it and I agree with everything everyone said. It's really different from any mask I've ever tried before. The best way I could describe it is it's kind of like putting a conditioning hair mask on your face lol. It feels like an emollient conditioner and it kind of works like one in a sense. It does such a good job and hydrating, evening out my skin tone and making my face feel more plump.
Don't forget you can receive 20% off your first glossier order by shopping with me.
3. This hair mask has been my go-to lately, I mentioned it in my summer essentials video. It leaves my hair sooooo soft and shiny after styling it. Most importantly, it doesn't weigh my hair down which is always the problem I have with very potent hair masks.
4. This week we went and picked up all of the stuff to build our closet! ( I'm sure I'll make more trips once we start building but for now that's what we got) Finally!!!!! The majority of my clothes is still at my mom's house and I only have a rack of clothes here and a couple of drawers in our dresser which is suppose to be a media console lol. I actually like having a smaller selection of clothing, makes things less overwhelming when it comes to picking out outfits but my shoessss, I need my shoes to be with me already, they have been too far from me for too long.
It's still all sitting in our bedroom floor at the moment because we haven't had a chance to build it but hopefully we will set everything up this weekend and of course... I'll be documenting the entire process and I will do a more detailed post once it is finished. I went with the Ikea Algot system. I am a big advocate for Ikea's closet systems, I use to have the pax system in my old closet and absolutely loved it but unfortunately that doesn't fit in our new closet so we had to pick a system that caters to smaller spaces.
5. Quote of the day. Sure, it's corny but sometimes we need these corny quotes to keep us in check. More often than not we fail to truly acknowledge ourselves. We compare ourselves to others, their lives, their situations and we completely forget to notice & value ourselves. How far we've come, what we have accomplished, our talents, our strengths.
Forget about what anyone else is doing, worry about yourself, dedicate time to yourself, improve yourself and most importantly appreciate yourself for everything that you are, because if you don't who the hell else will?
xx. See you next week.
Two-Piece Sets For Summer
If you saw my spring essentials video you would've probably seen me mention two-piece sets and how I'm loving them this summer.
These shorts and this top is actually not sold as a set but I paired them together and absolutely love how it looks.
It's such a lightweight outfit which is perfect for these ridiculously hot days. Plus, they can be mixed and matched with other pieces.

Summer Fashion Trends I'm Loving
1. Linen: I feel like nothing says beach & summer quite like linen. I really love how airy and elegant this fabric is and I am so glad it's EVERYWHERE this summer. I honestly don't think it will ever go out of style and it is definitely a staple in my summer wardrobe. I got these linen overalls not too long ago and I'm so in love with them, plus they're SO comfortable.

2. Wide Leg Trousers or Culottes: This is another trend that is everywhere this summer that I cannot get enough of. If you saw last weeks post you would've seen my current favorite culottes. Seriously, the most comfortable pants ever and very flattering. These pants are perfect to wear with very cropped or tied-up tops since they are normally very high-waisted.

3. Gingham: This pattern is making a major comeback and I am not mad at it. I styled this gingham romper a couple of weeks ago and that's definitely not the last of the gingham you'll be seeing from me this summer. 😉

4. Flatforms: .. and if they're espadrille then even better! If you read this post you would've seen me go on and on about how I've loved this style ever since I went to Greece. I'm so glad they're so popular here this summer.

5.Woven Bags: You guys have seen me wear my little woven bag a million times but really, I love any woven bag. Woven bags in general are a hit this summer and I absolutely love the touch it adds to every outfit.

6. Tie-up Cut-out Dresses: Doesn't necessarily have to be dresses, you can get this same effect with any really cropped top and flowy, high-waisted bottom that cinches at the waist. It's the peek of the midriff that I think is very flattering.
Friday Five
1. Finally got a chair for my vanity. Scored this little guy off of eBay. There are actually a lot of the same styles if you just search mid-century Hollywood regency chair. I really like mixing vintage with mid-century. I don't like to have the same of one style everywhere so I'm very happy with the way that it looks. I know that urban outfitters makes a similar one but I like the fact that this metal is a more true-gold as opposed to a spray-painted bronze.
I also really love how this one came with a vintage seat cushion, after searching forever for one of these chairs I couldn't find one that had a cushion that I liked or a cushion at all so I'm happy I stumbled across this one.
I kind of feel fancy sitting in it. It reminds me of old Hollywood vanity chairs... all I need is a big glamorous robe and one of those long cigar sticks. " Fetch me some waterrr Stewart!" *in some kind of British accent* ... (Stewart is my fake servant.)
HA, kidding.
But seriously, thats what it feels like sitting here.
2. I've been eyeing this print from society 6 for a while so I finally got it. I think it's the perfect touch to any bedroom since it's, what appears to be, a male and female outline intertwined together. I've mentioned how I love this type of art before so I'm very much in love with this piece. I need to get a frame for it, I'm thinking a simple brass or gold-toned one.
I will be purchasing more of this minimal line-art style soon for other places of the house.
3. You probably saw this post on IG but how pretty are these Halo earrings and necklace?! I'm the type of person who NEVER takes off my earrings or my necklace. I basically find something that I really like and wear it until I can't anymore. I love how minimal and simple these pieces are and I'm really digging circle jewelry at the moment.
4. Testing this mask out this week, tried it for the first time yesterday and so far I really like it. I have tried Drunk Elephant in the past and really love this brand, they are on the pricier side but seriously worth every penny, in my experience.
This mask is a chemical exfoliant, similar to their glycolic night serum but much more potent. In my opinion, I think that if you're going to invest in something this expensive it makes a lot more sense to buy something that is more potent and use it once a week as opposed to something less potent ( that costs more) and is meant to be used every night.
You will not run out of this product as quickly. And you actually get more of this product than of the night serum so I don't really understand why this is cheaper.
Still have to try it out for a longer period of time, if I end up liking it a lot you'll probably see it in my favorites at the end of the month :)
5. Last week I received this beauty of a lens and I am so incredibly happy with it. I finally got a chance to test it out and the hype is legitimate. I realize that this isn't the cheapest lens out there but if you're familiar with Sony lenses or photography in general you know that this is actually a great price for the lens that you are getting. And surprisingly, it is cheaper that my Zeiss lenses and I actually like it a little more than those (for photos). Plus, I am a firm believer in buying things that make you happy... as long as you're eating and paying your bills do whatever the hell you want.
It's my first 85mm and the lowest aperture in any lens that I've every purchased ( I know, I know.. lol where have I been?)... I'm going to have a difficult time putting it down. In love.
If you own a Sony camera & you're on the fence about this one... get off the fence & walk to your nearest tech store.
See you next week! xx
