One of my favorite brands, Everlane, has just launched their Cheeky Bootcut Jean! Bootcut denim is a style that I was missing in my collection so I was very excited to try them.
My jeans are my most-worn pieces in my closet. I've tried so many different styles from all price ranges and because of my body-type, I am incredibly picky when it comes to fit. I was a little skeptical on how these would look compared to what I already own and love. However, I was SO pleasantly surprised when I tried them on, they fit so nicely!
Usually, I gravitate towards a non-stretch denim because I really love my jeans to have a vintage look to them, despite the fact that I am a curvier woman & stretch would definitely fit better. More often than not, it is difficult to find vintage-looking jeans that fit my waist, my butt AND my thighs perfectly.... I knew these would have stretch to them so I was more concerned on how much I would like the overall look of them as opposed to the fit but to my surprise, they look just as good as they fit!
They have managed to maintain the look of vintage jeans, that I love, but they've added just the right amount of stretch in order to make them fit perfectly in all of the right places and on top of everything they are SO comfortable! Definitely the type of jean you can wear to a night that involves a lot of eating, I CANNOT say the same for most of my other vintage-looking jeans. The leg is slightly straighter than an original bootcut jean which makes it more wearable, in my opinion, but the fit is a bit more unique than a regular straight-leg jean.
Everlane released the Cheeky Bootcut Jean in three different colors; Washed Black, Sunbleached Blue, and Classic Blue Wash. I chose the washed black pair because, personally, I feel like they are the most versatile out of the three shades. I think black is very easy to style for pretty much any occasion because the darker jean transitions seamlessly from day to night... but to be honest with you, I think I might need them in every color!
Today, I've styled it three ways. For a casual day, a work day and a night out.

Polka dots
I've never been extremely into prints but there is something so vintage/retro about polka dots that I simply cannot resist lately. If worn properly I feel like you can still retain a classic feel without leaning towards the tacky side. This dress is most likely going to be worn like crazy this spring & summer, it is currently sold out at Zara but there are so many options out there ( I've linked a few below)Some of my favorite shoes to wear with dresses are these keds shoes, they are one of the most comfortable shoes that I own and I really love how they make dresses look so casual and effortless.
Wrap Jumpsuit
There really is nothing like a good jumpsuit. I love pieces that you don't have to think about, pieces that you can just throw on and go.. this is why I love casual dresses and jumpsuits so much. I will say that despite loving jumpsuits, I only own a few and this is 100% my favorite one so far. I can dress it up or down and it is definitely one of the most comfortable pieces of clothing that I own. It's so flattering and the fact that it ties at the waist is always a win for me.
I paired it with my beloved slip on vans and I really love how everything looks together. I kind of look like I'm ready to do karate but in the most chic way & I'm digging it. I love the wide-leg and how it has a little slits on the side at the bottom, this makes the pants move so elegantly when I'm walking.

Love For Basics
I often preach about how it's worth spending a little more on good, well-made, versatile, classic pieces but surprisingly I was missing the perfect black button down in my collection & I am so glad I finally came across one that I absolutely love. To begin with, this blouse weighs a little bit more than your average cotton blouse so, no matter how you wear it, it is going to sit beautifully on the body and the buttons are turtoise shell so.... need I say more?
I paired it with my current favorite straight-leg cropped jeans from levis and my patent leather boots. This tote is actually a dust bag for a sezane bag that I purchased a couple of years ago but I love the color and the print of it so much that I've been wearing it as my daily bag.
